Privacy Layer for Public Crypto Assets

Challenge: The client wanted to create a universal privacy and asset management layer for public blockchain networks — a system that would enable private transactions, asset mixing, and cross-chain operations without introducing a new private blockchain or wallet. Existing privacy tools were fragmented, inconvenient, and incompatible with modern DeFi workflows. The main challenge was to design a seamless privacy layer that works directly on top of EVM networks and integrates with the Miden private chain, ensuring usability, flexibility, and compliance for DAOs, funds, and individual users.  

Solution: We developed Dome, a next-generation privacy and asset management platform combining the functions of a mixer, bridge, custody wallet, and on-chain treasury. Key features and components include: 

• Mixing Engine — anonymizes asset flow between EVM and Miden networks using customizable parameters: delay, schedule, disperse, and cross-chain routing.

• Pre-Swap Integration — automatic conversion of assets before mixing through Uniswap and Curve to simplify user flow. 

• Dome Custodial Wallet — secure wallet layer with optional private key export and simplified authentication, allowing operations without a dedicated Miden Wallet.

• Hold & Management Module — allows users to store, swap, and manage assets privately inside • Miden, supporting yield strategies and future multisig operations for DAOs. 

• Shield/Unshield Bridge — private bridge layer connecting public EVM networks with Miden for asset deposits and withdrawals. 

• Payment System (Send) — enables anonymous salary payouts and treasury operations via relayers, maintaining privacy for all outgoing transfers. 

The architecture ensures complete control over privacy, timing, and asset distribution, while maintaining interoperability with existing EVM infrastructure.  

Result: Dome became a comprehensive privacy hub for digital assets, offering a unique combination of mixing, cross-chain bridging, and on-chain management within one interface. It allows organizations and individuals to privately manage funds, automate operations, and execute secure payouts — without abandoning the networks and wallets they already use. The platform sets a new standard for usable privacy in Web3, bridging the gap between transparency, compliance, and individual control.
